HNV-Link Cross-Visit to The Burren, Irland
Between the 4th – 7th June a group of 20 portuguese farmers, researchers and public administration people (Direcção Regional da Agricultura – Alentejo, Rede Rural Nacional) is visiting the region of The Burren, Ireland.
The visit to The Burren region is one of the Cross-Visits organized within the H2020 Project HNV-Link – Innovation for High Nature Value Farming (more info here).
This 3-day visit includes visits to farms participating in the scheme and a workshop focused on the needs of the Portuguese Montado system for a similar payment approach.
The main goal of this visit is to gain knowledge on the experience of local co-construction of result based agro-environmental measures and to discuss possible problems and applied solutions – and to discuss in the Portuguese group and with the involved people in the Burren, which pathways can be more fruitful for the implementation of similar RBPS in Alentejo, Portugal.
XVI Colloquium of Iberian Geography

Between the 5th – 07th November, the XVI Colloquium of Iberian Geography will be held in Lisbon, Portugal.
Teresa Pinto Correia will co-coordinate (with Luis Moreno and Nacho Plaza) the Theme 14 -“Rural and low-density areas”.
Early-bird registration is open until the 30th of June. Regular registration is open between 1st July and 7th November.

13th European IFSA Symposium
01 – 05 July, 2018 @Chania, Crete, Greece
Between the 1st and 05th of July, the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (CIHEAM – MAICH) will held the 13th European IFSA Symposium. Dynamo will be present with the co-coordination of Theme 2 “Agro-Ecology and New Farming Arrangements by Teresa Pinto Correia (co-coordinating with Stephanne Bellon and Pierre Labarte) and the organization of the Symposium Food security in local food systems: challenges and opportunities for small farms also by Teresa Pinto Correia, in co-coordination with Pavlos Karanikolas, Karlheinz Knickel and Mark Redman.

11th OECD Rural Development Conference
9-12 April 2018 @Edinburgh, Scotland (United Kingdom)
The 11th OECD Rural Development Conference brought together leading policy makers, private sector and renowned experts to exchange experiences and good practices on issues related to innovation in rural areas, including the development of policies to benefit from the 10 key drivers of rural change, and making the most of opportunities for job creation, economic growth, and service delivery.
Teresa Pinto Correia was a panellist in the Theme 1.A: Adding Value locally: Rural areas and global value chains session on the 9th April, bringing some insights from the ongoing project H2020 SALSA.
